Bishop Wayne Boosahda serves as archbishop of the Society of St. Patrick & St. Aidan and the Diocese of St. Patrick, a family of worship communities, missions and ministries of the worldwide Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches established in 1995. He has had extensive background in worship renewal ministry, teaching, mentoring and church planting across a wide spectrum of the Church of Jesus Christ in many denominations and conferences, and co-labors with his wife, Stephanie, an internationally known and accomplished songwriter/composer and Christian recording artist, in teaching missions, seminars, and worship renewal conferences throughout the nation. Bishop Wayne is also one of the visionary facilitators of the convergence movement, also known as “the convergence of the streams”, drawing spiritual treasures from the three major streams of the Christian tradition, variously described as: liturgical/sacramental, evangelical and charismatic – an interweaving of Spirit, Scripture and Sacrament. In addition, he is an avid student of the history of Christianity – Eastern and Western – the Christian mystical tradition of prayer and spirituality and the “new monasticism” developing around the world as a fresh way of living as followers of Jesus Christ in community and mission through the blending of ancient and contemporary spiritual disciplines and practices.
